Pricing Information
Intake Appointment: All our clients are required to conduct an intake appointment prior to accessing further services. Intake appointments are between 60 and 90 minutes long, and cost a flat rate of $190, which includes diagnostic formulation and a clinician’s review of records and written documentation in addition to the in-person or online meeting.
Home School Consultations: We offer home-school consultations and assistance with writing a PDP (Privately Developed Plan). Appointments will be with Geeta Glasser, our home-school specialist. These are charged at $95 and are 50-minutes long. For more information about home-school consultations, please visit our Services page.
Counseling: We offer counseling and therapy for ADHD, dyslexia, and their co-morbid conditions. Counseling sessions are charged at $150 for a 52-minute session. For more information about our counseling services, please visit our Services page.
Parent/Child Education: We offer executive function training workshops as well as one-on one skills training in a therapy setting. Prices vary based on type of workshop. One-on-one training is billed at the counseling rate. Please see our Services page for more information about these options.
Educational Presentations We offer a range of options for educational presentations. Please see our page on Educational Presentations for options. Educational Presentations are charged at an hourly rate of $225 an hour within 10 driving miles (not radius). Each additional mile past the 10 miles will be an added fee of $.70/mile. Presentations outside driving range are handled on a case-by-case basis.
Tutoring:
Dyslexia Tutoring: Dyslexia tutoring is conducted by tutors trained in the use of the Barton Reading and Spelling System (an Orton-Gillingham method). We offer dyslexia tutoring for both adults and children who have a diagnosis of dyslexia (Specific Learning Disorder with impairment in reading). Tutoring is year-long. During the school year tutoring is at least two days a week. Summer sessions are 5 weeks of 4 days each. Sessions are 50-minutes and are charged at $77 a session. Billing is monthly.
Math Tutoring: Math tutoring is conducted by tutors trained in the use of multi-sensory math instruction specialized for dyslexic students. Tutoring will be one day a week. Sessions are 50-minutes long and are charged at $87 a session, billed monthly.
Kindergarten Screening: Our kindergarten screening is conducted by Alison Craker, LPC. Kindergarten Screening is for 5 and 6 year olds who are not yet in 1st grade. This is charged at $150 an hour and typically ranges from $300 to $900 based on age. This cost includes the screening assessments with the kindergartner, review of documents, mini feedback session, and mini report. The actual price of the screener will be determined during the intake appointment.
Assessment: We offer assessments for dyslexia and their co-morbid conditions (including ADHD, Anxiety, and Depression). Our assessment appointments are charged at $150 an hour, billed in 30-minute increments, with additional hours billed outside of the assessment session for scoring, interpretation, diagnostic formulation, and writing the report. The full cost of the assessment will be determined at your intake appointment. Assessments require clinicians to spend considerable time both during and outside the session (selecting the tests, requesting records, reviewing records, test administration, consulting, scoring, interpreting, and writing up the results in a report). Because some of the work is conducted prior to the scheduled assessment session, clients are charged a $500 retainer fee at the time of scheduling. This fee covers expenses incurred before the assessment session and is applied to the total assessment cost. Feedback sessions (Results Meeting) are charged at a flat rate of $190, and last approximately 60-90 minutes. During the feedback session, you will receive a copy of the report, and your clinician will review the results with you and answer your questions. Some families find it helpful to have a follow up appointment a few weeks to a few months after the feedback appointment. This service is billed at $75 per half-hour and typically is used for parents to ask follow-up questions regarding their child's diagnosis and next steps.
Payment Options
Tutoring: Our tutoring sessions are billed differently than our other services. Tutoring invoices will be sent via email around the 20th of each month and are due on the 1st of the month. Payments can be made via the link on the invoice, or by check or automatic payments. We do not accept HSA cards for these services, but we can provide a receipt if you wish to submit it to your HSA for reimbursement. Please check with your HSA to see if they cover academic tutoring. We do not guarantee your HSA will reimburse your tutoring expenses.
Automatic payment methods include bank-to-bank tranfers (ACH) and credit cards. We do charge a 3% fee to use credit cards. Please let the office manager know if you would like to set up automatic payments.
Educational Presentations
NWDC will send an invoice for scheduled educational presentations. Costs for the presentation, including travel expenses, must be paid no later than 2 weeks after the presentation.
Intake, Assessment, and Therapy:
We are out of network.
We require the cost for your appointment be paid (privately, by you) on the day of your appointment, at the beginning of the appointment. We can provide you with documentation to submit to your insurance for reimbursement, at your request.
Intake, Counseling and Feedback appointments are billed as therapy appointments and may be covered or partially covered by your out-of-network insurance coverage. Parent-Child Education courses are considered counseling for billing purposes. You will be provided a superbill with the billing codes for these appointments in case you would like to submit them to your insurance.
Insurance does not cover academic assessments. If your assessment is for dyslexia, we will not provide you with a superbill. If your assessment includes testing for ADHD or other co morbid conditions, we will provide you with a superbill with the billing codes for the non-academic portions of your assessment.
NWDC does not guarantee your insurance will reimburse you for any of these services.
We accept credit cards, checks and cash for these services.
